The recent groundbreaking ceremony at the Mooiplaats site on Boschkop Road marks the official launch of Akademia’s new Pretoria campus, which will accommodate more than 5000 pre-graduate and 1000 post-graduate students on campus —a major milestone that has drawn significant media attention. With earthworks now complete, Kanton will lead the development of the campus, with an estimated total investment of R1.8 billion. Construction of Phase 1 is scheduled to begin in January 2026, and the scale and ambition of this project are becoming more evident each day.
